American Red Cross Babysitter Certification

 

          This online training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for infants and children up to the age of 10, as well as to manage a babysitting business. It takes an estimated 4 hours to complete. A score of 80% or higher on the final exam is required to receive a printable Diploma.

 

 

 ASE – Automotive Collision

 

          ASE is an industry recognized certification through the Nation Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. The Auto Collision component of this is high level testing that usually requires two years of work experience prior to testing. It is not yet formatted for high school level students with the exception of Maintenance and Light Repair which has a black insignia rather than the blue. The state goal is to have all the programs NATEF Certified with ASE Testing available to completers and seniors. Currently all completers may test.

 

 

Bloodborne Pathogens

          The Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens Online course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

 

 

CPR with AED Certification

 

          Heartsaver®  First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. 

        Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.  This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

 

 

OSHA Outreach Training Program

 

?          The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces.  This 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers.  Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity.

 

 

PPG Certifications – Automotive Collision

 

         Various PPG Certifications are available and are competency based. Students may test throughout the program as they master areas of paint and product knowledge.

 

 

Sherwin Williams Competency Based Certifications – Automotive Collision

 

          Sherwin Williams Certifications can be earned in many areas of paint and product use, procedures and applications. Students may test throughout the program as they master areas of paint and product knowledge.

 

 

 South Carolina State Board of Barbering License

 

          Students complete 1500 hours of theory and practical work. After training, the students take a licensing exam issued by the South Carolina State Board of Barbering. The licensing exam includes the assessment of theory knowledge and practical application.

Upon earning the South Carolina State Board of Barbering License, students are able to gain employment in barbershops or create their own business.

 

 

South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology License Nail Technician 

 

          Students complete 300 hours of theory and practical work along with a mock exam.  After training, the students take a licensing exam issued by the South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology in the area of Nail Technician.  The licensing exam includes the assessment of theory knowledge and practical application. Upon earning the South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology License Nail Technician, students are able to gain employment in salons, barbershops, spas, or create their own business.
